Clinical Advisory Committee
The Clinical Advisory Committee includes professionals with backgrounds in eating disorder treatment, adolescent health, psychiatry, psychology, nutrition, and research.
Rebecca DeHamer, MS, RD
Registered Dietitian and Director of Nutrition, Align Treatment Centers
Rebecca bring more than a decade of experience in eating disorder care, along with a background in physical education and exercise science. Her work includes adolescent health, Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and eating disorder treatment for athletes.
Jason Minion, MD
Medical Direction and Psychiatrist, Healing at Hidden River Residential Eating Disorder Treatment
Dr. Minion is board certified in both child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry. His clinical work includes eating disorder treatment and FBT, with a focus on collaboration across levels of care.
Renee D. Rienecke, PhD, FAED
Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Director of Research, Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Centers
Dr. Rienecke has more than 25 years of experience in eating disorder care and has contributed extensively to eating disorder research and clinical literature, including FBT.

Dr. Anthony Brocato
CEO, Southeast Colorado Hospital District
Dr. Brocato brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, including financial and operational management. His background in rural healthcare adds an important perspective to EDPEN’s work.
Angela Goens, MS, RDN, LD
Nutrition Professional and Educator
Angela’s work focuses on equitable eating disorder care, including care for BIPOC communities. She is owner of Rooted Nutrition Services, Director of Education at EDRD Pro, and co-founder of the BIPOC Eating Disorder Conference.
Dr. Karin Lawson
Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst
Dr. Lawson brings extensive experience in eating disorder treatment, clinical education, and professional training, along with a perspective shaped by work with providers and communities outside major metropolitan areas.
