About EDPEN

Where evidence meets access: bringing effective treatment into every community

At the Eating Disorder Provider Education Network (EDPEN), we believe everyone deserves access to effective eating disorder care—no matter where they live, what they look like, or what resources they have.

Our Mission

We make effective eating disorder treatment accessible where it’s needed most. By training and connecting medical, psychiatric, nutrition, and allied providers in family-centered, evidence-based care, we bring high-quality support into primary care and community health settings—especially for underserved populations.

Our Vision

A world where eating disorder care is equitable, accessible, and community-based—delivered with the same effectiveness and compassion as hospital or residential programs, but available close to home.

Our Values

  • Equity: Breaking down barriers caused by race, class, gender, and body size.
  • Collaboration: Connecting medical, mental health, and nutrition professionals to work as a team.
  • Family-Centered Care: Recognizing families as vital partners in recovery.
  • Practical Innovation: Turning research into tools providers can use every day.
  • Community Impact: Expanding access in rural and underserved areas.

Who We Are

We are a dedicated team of healthcare and eating disorder professionals driven by a shared passion: closing the gap between what research shows is effective and what care people can actually access. While we aren’t spotlighting individual names right now, that’s because we’re focused on something bigger—the collective movement we’re building together.

Why Join Us?

Eating disorders touch every community, yet too often, effective care is out of reach. At EDPEN, we’re building a network that changes that—bringing life-saving, family-centered treatment into primary care and community health settings.

We’re currently forming our Board of Directors and seeking passionate voices to help shape the future of equitable eating disorder care. There are many ways to get involved: share your expertise, join our leadership, become a sponsor, host a community event, or support our work with a donation.

Every contribution—whether time, talent, or resources—helps us transform access to recovery.
